Buggy needed for 2 under 2

Hi all,

I'm due my second boy in Octopus bet and once he's here my boys will be 22 months apart.

I have been searching for the ideal double buggy for months. I must have been recommended about 15 but have looked at them all and they just done seem suitable.

One has to be suitable for a newborn. Ideally I'd like one that includes he newborn car seat that attaches to the frame, otherwise one where I can buy it separately.

My eldest will need to remain forward facing so I think t would be best to have them side by side.

I'd like a big basket underneath and one with a rain cover it one that at least sells the rain over to fit. Don't want a super expensive one.

So stuck, please help.

Bugaboo Donkey would do the job anyway.

Pricey though! Maybe best to look for second hand.

Uppababy vista would be a bit cheaper and would do the job. It’s a tandem as opposed to side-by-side.

I have a Bugaboo Donkey with a 21m gap and love it. Would you consider getting one second hand? If not the Mountain Buggy Duet is a cheaper alternative which looks good.

I've just got a donkey for dc2 and dc3 as will have a 12 month gap when they arrive. They're expensive but there are a lot for sale second hand

Look no further than the BabyJogger tandem stroller! It is very robust, you can have a baby car seat attached and still have the older one forward facing (or backward facing if you want), as the baby gets older both of the seats face forward, or backwards if you prefer, one seat is positioned higher than the other on the frame so nobody is left "underneath" seeing nothing like on some double buggies.

As it's a tandem, you can get through doors easily, you will be really limited in shopping and visiting with a double side by side buggy whereas with the tandem you can just wheel in as it's a single buggy width.

It allows for a buggy board to be fitted on the back for when your toddler gets bigger. It has an enormous underside basket, it is super strong, it takes an awful lot of battering and throwing around, it folds flat, the tyres don't puncture, the hood comes right over, you can configure it so many different ways, you can scrub the seats in the bath and they come up like new... seriously it's a fantastic buy. Have a look. Can you tell I love them?! I've had mine 7 years and it has been absolutely hammered and is still in excellent condition.

Congratulations on your impending arrival!

^^ to add to my previous post, it's called the Baby Jogger City Select. It has 16 different configurations apparently for seating.

Oh and also the City Select takes a maxi cosi baby car seat, it has (very simple) adaptors which click into the frame.
