Is this colic?

DD is 10 weeks old and the last couple of days, around 8pm she has just screamed. Nothing will settle her until she literally screams herself to sleep. A feed always usually settles her but she screamed all through that last night aswell. Last night i thought something was really wrong as she's never screamed like that, yet this morning she wakes up grinning her head off and has been great all day, until 8pm again. She doesn't pull her legs up like its wind. Is this colic and does anyone know how we can help her? Its heartbreaking seeing her scream and not knowing how to help!

Are you winding her down at the end of the day so you are relaxing her? From about 8 weeks babies tend to sleep more at night as recognise night and day. Is it too light at bed time? Do you keep everything quieter in evenings?

What time does she go to bed. I think mine was ready to sleep for the night from 6pm is at about 8 weeks.

She has her last feed at about 10pm then sleeps til 7am. She's wide awake after her 6pm feed so we play with her and usually she'd have a nap on me but she won't even do that now. I did wonder about overstimulation but if we left her after her 6pm feed i think she'd cry with boredom. I'll give it a try tomorrow though.

My lb had colic, he would be happy and settling down for bed . Then all of a sudden would get upset and be screaming and holding him self as stiff as a board. This could go on from anything from 10 mins to an hour after which he would full asleep and show no adverse effects.

Yeah she tends to stiffen up sometimes aswell, i was so relieved when she woke up happy this morning but it's such hard work when they're screaming. I guess we'll just ride it out and hope it passes soon.
