Where to put 7mo??

Just wondering what other people do when babies are sitting but not crawling yet.

My 7mo dd sits very well, isn't crawling yet but is lunging forward alot and scooting to get at what she wants. She's to big for a bumbo, and a bouncer or swing.

When I leave the room to start making tea, use the toilet, put washing away unload the dishwasher ect she will cry and scream and throw herself backwards if I leave her sitting where she was happily playing moments before.

We have wooden or tiled floor throughout our house so she sits on the rug in the living room surrounsed by pillows. She will not be led down on her front or back she gets too frustrated that she cannot see.

What do other people do? Where do you put them? Or do you take them with you? I take her up or down stairs with me but I can't take her into the kitchen due to the hard floor and I worry about her hitting her head as she does purposely throw herself back from time to time.

How do I get through this bit untill she is crawling?

I had a jumperoo and a travel cot with toys in it that I moved around the house. And at a push, strapped into the highchair with toys or snacks.

I used to put my eldest in the travel cot with toys and switch the TV on that way I knew he was safe.

My youngest however just came around the house sitting beside me as she had to see me at all times or all hell would break loose and it just wasn't worth the aggro. She would just sit or lie nearby whilst I spoke to her about what I was doing.

Jumparoo or travel cot in living room. High chair for the kitchen.

I would just take her with me if you can't be sure she'll be safe being left sitting on her own. When I did housework/cooking/whatever other than a quick poo, I wore mine in a wrap and got on with it.

Jumperoo in living room and the high chair in the kitchen so he can still see me and watch what I'm doing.
