Hi, myself and ds are going to Disney land Paris in March, before I booked it i rang and asked his father if he was cool if I took him, he said yeah that's fine asked how long for etc (4 nights)
I was under the impression aslong as it's no longer then 28days you don't need permission anyway. Now I'm confused.
When he collected ds this evening he was talking about a permission letter and what would happen if he wouldn't write me one, as he's worried because it's just myself and ds going and I said what I was under the impression of, well it's less then 28 days and aslong as i take his birth certificate I should be fine.
Is this right?
If not I could ask him to write me one, but what happens if he refuses although he's already agreed for me to take him? And I have messages of us talking about us going to Disney land none of which say I can't take him but in an argument he said "make sure when you take him it's during your time"
I read that you need written permission from the other person with PR unless there's a residency order.
I don't have a residency order as such but I do have an occupation order from April this year (over the house) which states that ds will remain living with me but father will have regular access and over night stays on agreement.
My mum always took us on holiday without permission letters from my dad and was never asked for one.
