It makes me so angry and I’m at my wits end with it now. Unfortunately me and my 6 month old live with my mum siblings etc. I’m trying my hardest to move out! Can’t take it anymore!

It may be irritating but your mother is only trying to help and advise you. Living on your own with a 6 month old child will not be as easy as you think. You dont say how old you are and why you live with your mother and siblings.

I totally get it. My parents AND in laws did this and it drove me crazy. I had to be really firm with them and keep reminding them I was the parent. It got better as kids got older.

Repeatedly remind her she is the gm now not the dm. Smile and go to another room.

Just a couple of generations ago new mothers valued the support and experience that their own parents could offer. Your mother is providing a roof over your head. She doesn’t have to. She’s probably assuming that since you can’t provide for your own child you might need other advice too. Not unreasonably.
If you don’t like it, stop being dependent and move out.

Thank you some of you.
Others it’s not as easy as you think when the father does not help and provides nothing for my son. I had to move back here but still pay for both me and my son

I absolutely do value any advice but sometimes I need to be the parent

I get it monkey. There is a difference between offering advice and assuming you know better!
