Milk question re 14 month old

Back ground
14 month old has two bottles of soya toddler milk a day, approx 7oz each. One in the morning and one in the evening.

Once she was able to hold her bottle we got in the habit of letting her have her bottle in the cot, she doesn't always go to sleep straight away and will sometimes play with cuddly toys etc then lay down and go to sleep.

She's alway been an early riser which works quite well now im back at work and she has her bottle in her cot around 6am while I finish getting ready.
On my none working days she will wake around 6ish and her dad will give her bottle in her cot and she will sometimes fall back to sleep till 8 ish, this also happens on the weekend.

She's down to one nap a day and we'll go off to sleep without a problem for her nap.

Now though we have issues in the nights if she wakes up..... she wakes about 3 night out of 7, and she will scream and scream until she gets a bottle. Sometimes we can settle her without it but it will take well over an hour, and on my work days this is not good! So we have got into the habit of giving her 5oz just to get her back off nice and calmly. But as I say this is only 3 nights a week not every night.

I would like to break this habit of milk to get her off to sleep especially as she can self soothe.
But giving her night and morning feed in her cot will cause confusion so I know we need to change this as well.

When does everyone else give there LOs their bottles?
How do I break the habit of needing a bottle?

Or should I stop worrying about this and continue as we are?

Thanks x

Mine didn't have a bottle after 12 months, they had their milk out of a cup. At the same time as switching to a cup I started giving bedtime milk before the bath/bed routine. Morning milk is downstairs after we've all got up. As soon as we stopped using bottles, both DD's stopped wanting milk in the night as it was just the sucking/comfort they wanted not the actual milk.

I just dread the battle! 🙈 I know I shouldn't but she just goes mental!

Do you think I phase it in?
Start the bottle downstairs then change to cup or just do it all in one hit? X

Mine is 22months and has a bottle (soya) every morning and evening. Not even considered giveing it up as she is dairy free so it gives her the calcium she is missing from normal dairy.

We see a dietician at the hospital every couple of months and she said she should be having this until at least 4 or five.

However obviously it will change to a cup in time

We didn't give it up at 12 months Foreverhopeful22, just swapped for a cup. They still have milk morning and evening, including DD1 (3.5).
OP I did it all in one go, as I thought it was better to have 1 battle than multiple battles! And in the end there was no battle at all. I'd built it up massively in my mind and it was absolutely fine.

Oh no I know can't give the milk up yet, just having in her bottle, and in her cot!

Just thinking when else to fit them in. The evening one not too much a problem as can have that when she gets in from childminders then bath, book, bed.
But the morning one? I wake her at 6am to get her up, then once she's had her bottle I get her dressed. I leave the house at 6.20 and my husband drops her to cm at 6.45. Suppose she could have it in her pushchair on way to cm?

The morning one is probably less of an issue because she's not using it to go to sleep. I'd try switching the bedtime one first and seeing how it goes.

My ds now 2.2 started having his milk downstairs at about 15 months in the evening. Then he had his teeth brushed before bed. He always had a bottle in the evening although he would happily have it in a cup in the morning! I only went cold turkey on the bottle at 2 years old. It wasn't good for his teeth to still be having a bottle and he took the change really well. He woke up for milk every night until he was 23 months and only started sleeping through then. I knew it was bad for his teeth but he used to have a little bit of formula milk (think ready prepared bottles of boiled water and powder pots of formula at the ready) and then he'd go straight back to sleep. He's stopped it on his own, so I would just do what you need to get the sleep!
