Back ground
14 month old has two bottles of soya toddler milk a day, approx 7oz each. One in the morning and one in the evening.
Once she was able to hold her bottle we got in the habit of letting her have her bottle in the cot, she doesn't always go to sleep straight away and will sometimes play with cuddly toys etc then lay down and go to sleep.
She's alway been an early riser which works quite well now im back at work and she has her bottle in her cot around 6am while I finish getting ready.
On my none working days she will wake around 6ish and her dad will give her bottle in her cot and she will sometimes fall back to sleep till 8 ish, this also happens on the weekend.
She's down to one nap a day and we'll go off to sleep without a problem for her nap.
Now though we have issues in the nights if she wakes up..... she wakes about 3 night out of 7, and she will scream and scream until she gets a bottle. Sometimes we can settle her without it but it will take well over an hour, and on my work days this is not good! So we have got into the habit of giving her 5oz just to get her back off nice and calmly. But as I say this is only 3 nights a week not every night.
I would like to break this habit of milk to get her off to sleep especially as she can self soothe.
But giving her night and morning feed in her cot will cause confusion so I know we need to change this as well.
When does everyone else give there LOs their bottles?
How do I break the habit of needing a bottle?
Or should I stop worrying about this and continue as we are?
Thanks x
