What age did you move from grobag to duvet and cot to bed?

My DD is 2.4 and sleeps in a cot in a sleep snuggler (basically a gorbag with legs) because she always hated the grobag. She still moves around a lot in the bed, literally 360 degrees through the night. I can't imagine her ever staying under a duvet or in a bed!

waves
2.3 here and still in a grobag and cot but also has thin blanket and pillow. It sometimes feels like we're babying him but while he continues to sleep well and go to bed happily I am loath to change even the tiniest of details!

DD has just turned two and has just moved to a duvet rather than a grobag. Has had a pillow for a few months. We had a brief transitional period of both grobag and duvet together, luckily it was cold at the time! We use duvet clips (from jojomamanbebe) to keep the duvet roughly in place.

We won't be moving her into a bed until she sleeps through more reliably or starts climbing out of the cot, whichever comes first!

Grobag to duvet we did at 1 year.

Cot to bed we've done at 21 months. She's in a double bed but we coslept a lot so not a huge transition for her. She hasn't got up yet (three weeks in)

Stopped the
Grobag just after 3rd birthday cos dd outgrew them. At almost 5 she is still in toddler bed with sheets tucked over the end of the mattress. Will probably move to a proper bed with duvet in autumn this year

2.5 and still in a grobag and cot. He does laps and often ends up wedged width-ways across the cot.

I am in no hurry to change anything as he's sleeping pretty well!

DD2 is still in a Grobag at nearly two (in a fortnight). And in a cot.

We discussed moving her but a) we're moving into a new house soon and didn't want there to be a lot of change around about the same time and b) she moves around SO much in the night she'd just fall out 1204982348 times a night I think!

Ds 2 went into bottom bunk with toddler duvet and tiny pillow (not used but so like big bro) and leaps happily into bed every night!!

"What age did you move from grobag to duvet and cot to bed?"

It was too long ago to remember but I was def very young. I'm not sure we even had duvets and gro-bags back then. I do remember being in a carry cot on the back seat of my parents' car, and I can also remember being in a big silver cross pram. Grobag to duvet...nada.

We moved DD to a bed at 16 months (previously co-slept) and she took a few months to get used to the duvet but now she keeps it on all night.

Maybe introduce a duvet in the summer so it's warmer if she takes a while to get used to it?

DD1 went from grobag and cot to duvet and bed in one swoop at 20 months.
DD2 is 20 months and still in a cot but has had a duvet and pillow for about 3 months. Will probably take the sides off her cot in may when we move house.

Ds was about 2.5 when we switched to quilt from sleeping bags as he was starting to get annoyed with them. Cot to bed he was nearly 3 and only because he finally worked out how to climb out! He is 3.5 now and very rarely stays under the quilt for long!

DD1 was 16mo for both. Single duvet fitted sideways and tucked in to stop her falling out.

Planning on moving DD2 at 12mo to a bed (8.5mo currently), but am undecided at the moment whether to introduce a duvet at the same time. It'll be summer, so will most likely just do sleepwear until it starts to get cooler then introduce a duvet.

Hi, my lo went into his toddler bed at 17 months.
We've never used grow bags or sleeping bags as I don't really like them much. We used the coverlet from the crib and cot bedding sets, along with a blanket. Lo was always lovely and warm.

Into a toddler bed at 13mo as DS hated the cot to the point that he never slept in it. Immediately slept much better in a bed. Swapped to a duvet when he started outgrowing the 6-18m sleeping bags which was actually shortly after moving to the bed (he's 99th centile for height). No issue whatsoever with either transltionx

Sides off the cot bed at 2, duvet about the same time I think. Only just gone up to a proper single bed at 4.5.

Switched to duvet around 2yo as started protesting about grobags - however he doesn't keep it on and can often be found either kicking it to the end of the bed or using it as a pillow. Still in the cot at 2.5 - he's a good sleeper, not rocking the boat!

My 3 year old is still in a grobag type sleeping bag and cot. He has SN though.

When I was little my mum tucked the sheet / blanket under the mattress and I am a bed gymnast (!!!) I got stuck at the bottom of the bed and I still remember it now - over 30 years later! After that incident I was given a light duvet (untucked!) instead.

Over the summer, about 20 months, he stopped sleeping and we tried absolutely everything to sort him out, including a duvet. Didn't work, but the duvet stayed. He's now 2y 3m and is still in a cot because I'm pregnant and can't deal with the putting him back in bed all night shit. He'll have to be evicted soon for the baby, but I'm not in a hurry to grant his freedom. His room is really cold so he has a sleeping bag and a duvet atm.

Do whatever works.

We moved our twins from sleeping bags and cots to beds and duvets when they turned 3.

Dd stopped wearing a grobag at 11 months as it was very warm in the summer and she was just sleeping on a sheet with no covers. 2 months later the temperature dropped a little but she refused to start wearing the grobag again so we put a duvet in her cot.

She's 19 months now and rarely stays under the duvet all night but she can crawl back under it now if she wants to. It's rarely chilly in her room though.

She's still in the cot and I think we'll keep the sides on it until she tries climbing out.
