Separation Anxiety Disorder in 10 yr old girl

Wondered if anybody else has or has had a child with separation anxiety disorder? My dd is 10 and is struggling very badly at the moment. We are seeing a psychologist but yet to see any major change in her. She literally hyperventilates and has a full blown panic attack if I go out for even a few hours, even if leaving her with her dad. Won't go on play dates, sleepovers or parties anymore...Distressing for all of us to see her like this. Would love to hear from others in same boat - need to know there's light at the end of the tunnel and how you got / are getting there. Friends lovely & supportive but they, understandbly, don't quite get it....
