Currently 31 weeks pregnant and now that Christmas is out the way, it's full steam ahead prepping for baby number 2 Smile dd is 2yrs8months so although talks about 'the baby in mummy's tummy', I know she doesn't have a clue what's coming her way really!!
I'm looking for advice and stories about introducing new baby, any cute ideas including whether to buy a gift for dd from baby?? If so then what kind of thing?!
TIA x

Utilise her.

Keep nappies, wipes, etc in baskets on the floor so she can bring you things.

Second the utilise her, dd1 was about the same as your dd when her sister was born and allowing her to help made her feel like the baby was "ours" and she found it exciting, still helps a lot! Definitely agree with baby buying a gift. When dd1 first met baby in hospital, we had Flop in baby's cot for her. We never said how lucky dd1 was to have a baby sister, we said how lucky baby sister was to have dd1 as a big sister. They are so close now, always cuddling, laughing together, sometimes it's been so sweet it's very emotional! We didn't use stories, although some find them useful, just kept talking to her about it and helping her to be part of decision making i.e choosing an outfit, dummy - that kind of thing - for baby's arrival. All the best!
