My 3 year old still sleeps with me most nights

Quick back story

Split with my soon to be DH. Moved to parents. Slept in seperate beds mainly but every morning DD jumped in mine and we had a cuddle. Same room.

Now I have own house. Seperate rooms. In my bed 50% of the time.

She's happy in her own bed but as it's the two of us we jump in bed and watch a Disney then both go asleep.

Should I put her in her own bed (except for Saturday night girlie night)

I can't see a problem with her being in with you as long as you're not bothered by it.

But I have a 3-year-old who sleeps beside me 100% of the time. :o

Only if you want to. My 3 yo still sleeps in with me. People make comments about them moving into their own bed soon but I just smile and nod and carry on!

Do what YOU and your girl want to do. No one else matters. I know a few people who's older kids share with Mum regularly.

I have a nearly 4 year old and 2 year old sleeping beside me right now. I don't ever get a good nights sleep, ever, but I'm sure in the dim and distance I'll miss these days. They are happy and secure beside me so I can't take that away from them, they'll learn in time with gentle encouragement!

I find my 6yr old in my bed by morning 90% of the time. Don't worry about it. Embrace the cuddles.

Just let it be.

Both of mine are in with me every night by the end. It's not a problem. Unless it's a weekend when DP is home when I end up curled at the bottom of their feet like a dog. We are going to invest in a superking bed rather than trying and kick them out.

I have a fantasy of turning our box room into a big bed with cushions and blankets and it being our nest.

DD whose nearly 7 is in my bed every morning. I've tried to crack down this year so she can sleep in my bed all night on the weekend if she wants but encouraging her to sleep more in her bed during the week

I don't think there's any issue with co sleeping as long as they have the choice of sleeping in their own bed if they want and they are the instigators most are able to sleep alone when away from home just fine.

It's nice to wake up to cuddles inthe morning and when it's just the two of you space isn't an issue as much. Enjoy it!

My 5 yr old dd would sleep in my bed with me every night if she could! Most mornings I wake up and she's in my bed having crept in during the night. I'm making the most of it I know she won't want to do this forever.

My 5 year old sleeps in my bed at weekends but not school nights - under 2 ends up here every night.
Unlikely to want to do it forever so as long as you are still comfy & can sleep, who cares

My 3yo demands that her daddy comes and sleeps with her instead; she gets up and stands in the doorway until he relents and goes into her room.

For the sake of his back we've given her a double bed!
