I've become a better parent

Over the last few months I've become much better at keeping on top of everything and being a less shouty more calm parent.

I've enjoyed my children even more than before.

All I had to do was make time for myself! Do things for myself that I enjoy.

Has anyone else got tips for struggling through parenthood ? Grin

No tips but totally agree with making time for yourself. My two were 3&2 before I got this.

I gave myself such high expectations, put my everything into parenting and often felt I'd failed. Now I treat myself to a monthly beauty box, went back to work a day a week and I make time to make myself feel good and relax at night without feeling guilty if there's dishes in the sink.

As a consequence I'm more relaxed, easy going and love spending time with my little superstars. We went for pizza at the harbour last night which was so fun, but old me would have stressed, had to clean up first and probably not enjoyed it as much. I'm feeling positive and have a better relationship with dh too.

Konmarie helped get everything manageable though tbf!

Taking a big deep breath when you feel you're about to shout/raise your voice.

Yes you're angry and you want to shout but sometimes doing that saves tears and unnecessary hurt :)
