Feeling like a bad mummy

My 8wk old DS has been teething for 2wks now extremely early I know but it has been confirmed.. Anyways he's up most nights and so we are all tired most days and not doing much the only time we go out is to go to appointments, supermarket or to visit family so apart from that we are feeding, sleeping and watching TV most days.. feeling like a bad mum for not making more of an effort to get up and go out not to mention my housework is being neglected because I'm holding DS almost all day everyday.. Need to get out of this rut! Any advice?

Bless that is early for teething. Don't worry too much about the housework honestly everybody let's it slide. My mum did all my washing for 13 weeks because I was struggling! Accept any help you're offered.
Start small with going out. Walk up the street or to the shop. You'll get into a routine eventually and then you'll look back on these slightly hazy mad weeks and feel slightly calmer. Just try and enjoy your new baby I know it's sometimes easier said than done.

He's 8 weeks. He doesn't care where you are! But for your own sanity, it's good to get out and about.

How did you confirm his teething?

Thanks roobix, don't get me wrong I am enjoying our time together now just get these pangs of guilt every now and then..
I was wondering if he was teething or had reflux because he was crying when I'd start to fed, drooling and coughing.. So i asked the Dr at his 6wk check up and apparently he was crying at the start of his feed cus his gums hurt and the coughing is brought on by the excess 'drool' being swallowed that and we can see 2 white posts in his gum and he'll bite down on anything u put in his mouth Hmm

I remember the biting! There is rarely a day goes by that I don't feel vaguely guilty about something to do with dd. Just gotta remind myself she's healthy and happy.

Really don't worry! Feeding, sleeping and tv is fine! Those early weeks are hard work. If you manage to get out the house or get some housework done - great! If not, really don't worry. Lower your expectations and enjoy your (poor teething!) baby.

7 hours is brilliant. We were lucky that dd has been a good sleeper since about 4 months. Glad you're feeling better.
