Toddler routine gone squiffy. Help!!

I have a 21 month old DS. He is a lovely sociable boy but very full on. I have to admit I find him exhausting.

Up until Christmas we had him in a fantastic routine with predictable meal times, a good 2 hour nap and sleeping through the night. Since we have been off work for Christmas and done a little bit of travelling to see family his routine has completely fallen to bits and it's making life pretty hellish.

He has refused his nap for the last week and is incredibly overtired. Mercifully he is sleeping well at night but day time is becoming increasingly difficult as he is so overtired.

Is anyone else having this problem? Holidays always seem to derail everything.

Yes!! Same here, DS recently turned 2, and its all gone to pot! . It also didn't help he has a stinking cold. Think just there is too much going on.
I am sure it will all be fine, its just a phase where wine is the prize at the end of the day :)

It's Christmas. In my experience it just sends them loopy even when they don't fully comprehend. In still the routine again when the maher is over and it should all go back to normal. I remember the year DTs were 2.5 at Christmas as particularly hard work.
