I was gearing up to start a routine with DS, bath, bottle, bed by about 7/7.30 (DD was in this routine much earlier than 10 weeks), however the past three nights he has started cluster feeding.

I had thought this was a BFing thing, but evidently not. He has a 5oz bottle at 6pm, bath, doze in the bouncer chair, cries for milk at half seven, takes another 4-5oz. Put him down, wakes at half eight and wont settle without milk, maybe another 3oz. Then half nine, another 3-4oz.

What the heck!? How can he fit all that milk in??? He also then sleeps amazigly til 5am,takes 5oz and sleeps til 9am. So I suppose he is tanking up before sleep but it never happened with dd and Ive no idea where he is putting all this milk!

He has also started feeding two hourly in the day, so 9am/11/1.30/4/6

I'm not sure what you are asking. It sounds like he is sleeping well and taking what he needs. Sounds good to me!

I suppose.I am asking if anyone else has any experience of it, how long it may last, and whether we need to do anything about it.

My DS was ebf until 2weeks when he wouldn't settle even after 6hrs of constant feeding in the evenings like he was starving, one ff was introduced at 11pm. He then slept fairly well overnight.

At 9 weeks I moved him fully to ff. He still fed lots in the evening and never went more than 1.5hrs between feeds in the day but slept 12-13hrs.

I always figured he needed the extra milk in the evening to tank up for overnight and he needed the short gaps in the day to get enough milk for him (he was also making up for poor weight gain in the first 9weeks).

Tbh I think tanking up in the evenings is good because they seem to be able to sleep through from a younger age.

Also you can change times to earlier I moved my sons cluster feeding times by encouraging him to start 15mins earlier, then when that was working, 15mins earliest again, until I got to an acceptable time.

Sounds totally normal. My dc3 was exactly the same, ff and clusterfed around the same age. Doesn't last too long if I remember right. I wouldn't worry, he's just taking what he needs.

Yes, I formula fed all 3 of mine and they all cluster fed around this age and around late afternoon/early evening. Dd1 in particularly. Lasted about a month/ maybe two.
