Hi, I really need some advice from you mums.. Or just a pep talk lol. I have a daughter who is 14 months and I'm 36 weeks pregnant. I havnt even had time to think about how going to cope with two under two since I've been trying to sort out our housing situation! I'm currently stopping with my mother and it's been so helpful having her around to help with my daughter especially now as my hips are so bad I'm on crutches!! But I have finally been offered a property with my local council and have a move date of 3/3/14 - I'm due 13/3/14. I'm struggling so much with mobility (have pgp and sciatica) and my daughter is becoming increasingly attached to my mum as she is taking over a lot of her care. I'm starting to think my daughter will struggle without my mum there in the new house and I will struggle to keep her in her routine with a new baby a new house and on my own. I'm starting to seriously freak out and was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and how they coped? Sorry so long!!! :)

Hi, first of all congratulations on a PG nearly finished and a new house. Are you on your own?
I found going from 1-2 hard at times when I look back on it.

The thing is, I just coped day by day and it was only looking back that made me realise - wow, that was hard going!

You will get through it and you will even enjoy bits of it Smile!!

Just try to get as much help as you can and take any offers going.

I moved house with 2 weeks to go into a building site when I had #3 and it was so much better than I thought it was going to be. You almost resign to the fact there will be alot of boxes and mess for a long time. Good luck

Thank you :)
Yes I'm on my own. Have been for a few months now. My partner kept cheating on me. But hey, rather be on my own then with someone like that!!
I think I know deep down it's going to be difficult I just need a bit of strength to keep going. It's really hard at the end of a pregnancy when everything aches and my heads so full of what needs to be done... Muddle through I suppose.
Thank you again.

U and ur mum sound fab u can do it and everything will b ok!! I'm sure if u ask ur mum she cod come round on a set day/time once a week maybe so she is still getting time with ur oldest. Ur lo is still v small they r v adaptable at that age and some ways it's easier to make "big" changes then. I had 3 in 3 yrs and we moved house after a wk after dc2 was born and again a few months before dc3 and the kids took to it brilliantly. Like another poster said just accept there will b things in boxes for a while and go with the flow.

U can do it good luck

Do you need to move into the new house straight away? the council where I live give you a few weeks to sort yourself out before moving in maybe you could move your things in but still stay with your mum until after the birth? That way your mum will be there to help and you have time so come and go with your new house so it is all set up by the time you actually start living there.

So, i now have the keys to the flat. Babies still in! But getting a lot of signs he's close. Started painting yesterday and today the car has broken down and been written off. I'm feeling very overwhelmed and stressed very very emotional and not coping well at all. I have no idea where to turn or what to do next... :(

Just wanted to say that you sound like a really amazing role model for your dd.

Thank you that means a lot. I'm trying very hard to be. It's just hard when your on your own and have so much to deal with. Times like this when I wish someone would take some of the burden. Or give me some extra strength to deal with what I have to deal with..
