Just a quick question. I'm planning on giving my 6 mo DS some toast for breakfast, but I'm unsure as to whether I can put a bit of marge (clover light) on it, or just give it dry?

I would put normal butter on it tbh

Do you mean because of salt content? I dont think a little scrape would matter, but if you're concerned you could always buy unsalted butter, or use cream cheese instead.

I'd give it dry just because less greasy paws and he'll enjoy chewing it anyway. But if he doesn't like it a bit of spread or butter won't harm - babies need fats. Ideally unsalted (bread is quite salty already)

A wee scrape of butter would be best so it's not too dry and crumby.

Don't use marge though, it's just utter crap.

Lurpak do an unsalted spreadable butter which is nice.

Unsalted butter goes down well here

Unsalted butter here too. Your baby will enjoy it more and will suck on it to get the butter off. Otherwise the toast will be a bit dry and he / she'll just get crumbs in his / her mouth that he / she might splutter on a bit.
