Hi, I am looking to buy a child tracker for my 20 mo. we are going on holiday and instead of being mega exited I am sick worried. If you have one and it worked for you please tell me. I was looking at guardian angel one, but it has a bad review on amazon :-( . Thank you to everyone who replies.

I have no idea about child trackers, and quite honestly don't understand why you feel you need one?

What is it about going on holiday that poses a bigger risk?

It's not normal for you to feel so anxious about it. It might be worth a visit to your GP to talk about your anxiety.

I am going to visit my sister in law in Portugal but without my hubby. All these stories about kidnaped kids make me sick worried. I have a worry problem, I got help for it but I feel it came back just before we about to go. I thought I feel happier if I have something like that

If you are going to worry that much I wouldn't go yet. You won't relax. Instead as trixy said go back to your GP and postpone the trip until you're ready.

I agree with others that you seem excessively worried.

You are away with family, your child is still very young so really as long as you are all sensible with supervision which I am sure you will be then the chances of any kidnapping are so small its hardly worth even thinking about.

No one can force you to drug your child and leave it alone in an insecure place while you go out to dinner.

At 20M your child should be in a secure place with you most of the time when awake (seriously - swimming pools etc are a far more likely danger than strangers) and if sleeping then in a secure place (doors locked, no windows open far enough for child to exit!) with you even if not in the same room.

Just the same as when you're at home :-)

Thanks a million. When I look on the net to find a review about these tracking devices there are none there. It must tell me something that people do not use it!!!!!! I wish I had that mindset that does not make all worries bigger than they actually are. I am not sure how GP would help??? Last time I had a hypnotherapy session it helped me instantly but they are so expensive. I know what would you say I better spend money on it instead of a trip, but when I was booking the ticket I didn't feel that way

Love, I used to suffer with anxiety. To be honest, I still do, but it is a lot more manageable! My GP referred me for CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). It really helped, and I am a lot calmer about things, to the point that I think 'I can't believe I used to worry about this!'.
