I recently bought on of those backpacks with a wrist loop/harness for her but have only got as far as the pavement outside our house before thinking it is all a bit scary having her by the road almost running... I know I am probably being a bit soft, but how did you overcome this fear (if you had it?). DD is very strong and will wriggle away from me if she really wants to get to something. I just fear she will somehow get out of my grip and run straight into the road. What age were your kids when you felt confident enough not to take the buggy? She is 13.5 months and has been walking from end of 10th month and is v. confident on her feet (as I said can run and now walk backwards as well!). Thanks.
