Is 6.30 to early a bedtime for a 3YO?

Just changing our routine around slightly as I'm desperately trying to get DD to sleep in her own bed at night.
I was just wondering if 6.30 was too early to put her to bed of an evening?
Any help would be appreciated.

What time does she go to bed now and what time does she get up? I would have thought it was a bit early but that is because I covet more sleep in the morning. If ds went to bed at that time he would be up about 6am which is too early for me.

Assume she's not having a day time sleep so it may be worth trying it for a few days to see if she adapts.

If they go to sleep and don't wake too early then it's not too early!

mine normally goes to bed about that time (not so much on weekends, but weekdays they will be down well before 7) sometimes he plays in his room a bit before he falls asleep or sometimes not. since he doesn't have a nap he is tired by that time! i do that for 21 months old aswel who does have a nap, but he is still fine to go to bed at that time. it's worth a try if you think that bedtime will be better for her?

It would have been too early for my DD. How many hours a night does your DD sleep? Mine is a pretty reliable 11 hours - so bed at 8pm, up at 7am.

My almost-3 wakes around 7am pretty much regardless of when she goes to bed. I aim for in bed by 7 at latest. Sometimes she doesn't fall asleep till 8 or 8.30 and then is tired and whingey the next day. Sometimes she falls asleep almost right away. If your life is better with a6.30 bedtime then go with that.
