Bumbo table - am i being stupid?

i just don't get how to get dd in and out with the bumbo table attached. As far as I can see, the two parts have to be fixed together permanently using the little 'clicky' bit under the flat surface, this means you can only then put the entire table on or off the bumbo rather than baby in, fit table round them.
The nearest I've managed is putting dd in, wedging the table bit over the big nobble (?!) then trying to lever the flat bit at the foot of the leg underneath - this of course is very hard as it's meant to be stable and non-tip-uppable.

Does any of this make sense?! And then to get her out I basically just have to pull her upwards lifting the whole affair into the air until she slips out. This csn't be how it's meant to work...!

Yes I did it the way you're doing it! No idea if right.

I just took the table off? Was that not right?

I take the table off but think the design is a bit rubbish as it is hard to get it back on when DS is in the bumbo.

I did what you are doing, baby in, fit table over knob, then lever the flat bit under the lip at the base of the seat. If you put it all on the sofa you can lean bumbo and baby back safely onto back of sofa while you struggle to get the flat bit over the base.

Cunning idea about the sofa, might make it easier to get fingers under. Presumably same in reverse helps get the thing off, rather than dangling child in the air with bumbo hanging off her legs Blush

It's quite easy to squash the pommel bit down to get the plastic lip under. Good idea about the sofa.
