I hope someone can help on this one. Basically I know a relative who isnt coping with her 2 boys. One is 9 and one is 6. The mum shouts and swears at them in the morning and drags them out to the car and literally throws them in. Boys are seen and heard to be crying. After the school-run mum brings the boys home and again is holding them from the back of their collars and is seen dragging the boys in the house. Mum is then seen to be leaving the house after about 1 hour and boys are seen from an upstairs window crying. When mum returns home she seems to have been shopping as she has carrier bags on her and she unloads them from her car. Probably wants to let off steam. Boys have big red hand marks on them. Anyway as for the dad he is a alcoholic. He verbally abuses the boys and mum. I have offered to help her out but she tells me that she doesnt need help and that she is coping fine. Have reported her to the NSPCC who contacted social services and social services assessed the situation and wrote up a report. Police have also been called numerous times as well. Reported her twice more to the NSPCC but nothing is getting done and we as her extended family are getting increasingly concerned for the boys safety and welfare. How can we get the authorities to take our concerns seriously?
