Do you wake your children from naps?

I am never sure about whether to wake DD from her afternoon nap or not. She is currently asleep in her buggy after falling asleep on the way home from swimming this morning at about midday (so she's had 2.5 hours plus)

Her night sleep is variable & she's often grumpy if I wake her up from her nap. However she also seems to be grumpy if she naps for too long.

how old?

if dd (3.1) has more than an hour we have serious trouble at bedtime - in fact we don't 'put her down for a nap' any more, but rather let her drop off on the sofa or in the car.

My DD is 22 mths old. I wake her after about 90 mins, occasionally let her go as long as 2 hrs. Any longer than that and it really messes with her night time sleep. She is 22 mths, btw.

She is only 16 months - 2 hours seems about right for her but she often goes beyond that.

I went in just before 3 and made a lot of noise and she woke up happy - now chilling out with a snack. We will see what bedtime brings!

OMG I wish! DS2 (10 mo) only naps for half hours at at time. If DS1 (3.6) conks out in the afternoon, which he might if hes in the car, we put him to bed, but I have to wake him after an hour because it seriously affects bedtime.

Decision made -it's just taken an hour and a half to get her to sleep. Tomorrow I will wake her up and deal with the grumpiness!
