DS (11) his best friend is a girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last year in his awful old school ds thought girls were creatures that played on the other side of the playground.
However since being at his small school all yr 6, he was elected on to the school council and the yr 6 other member was a girl.
Now since then these two have become as thick as thieves, his other mates have "girlfriends" who they "go out" with but ds maintains a close friendship, asking what is to be gained from "going out" with someone when you're 11 (I know I [shock} face too)
Anyway we said as a finishing primary school treat we'd taken him and a mate of his choice to Alton Towers next Saturday, he's chosen the girl over all his other mates!
Which tbh I'm really chuffed about as it is the only friend this yr who he has never fallen out with.
My baby is so COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
