Who has been/going on the tube?

After the bombs I'm sure lots of us will be nervous, DD1 and I are going to see the Wiggles at the Hammersmith Apollo on Tuesday and we were planing on getting the train and then the tube, I really don't want to take her tube though.
Any thoughts? I've read in the papers lots of people saying that they have gone on the tube/buses so that the terriost know that they can't win.

I was on a train the same day and train and tube the next , we'll be taking dd's by bus to see the wiggles on monday

Not been back on the tube yet but will do next week. DS and I were out and about Tues and Weds on the tube and he has been on it since about 4 weeks of age.
My only concessions are to always carry water with me and a very mini torch on my keys

Xena - if anything happens it will be in peak hours probably. Where are you getting train to?

We will be coming in to Charing X and then I was going to get the circle line I think? Although I would prefer a bus.

I have been. And Dp took DS on the tube today - which I was a little at but they are here safe and sound now.

Not sure all the lines are open yet?
I hardly ever use public transport, work is just down the road and I drive there. Not sure how I would feel if I had to use it. Dh was back on the buses and tube the next day.

Tube is prob as safe as bus... Really think we all have to try to carry on as usual. I know I will be doing my usual things...

I agree dinny, I'm so angry with them, DD was so exited about it the train, tube and the wiggles!! I just feel so so nervous.

Xena, me too - you feel so differently when you have children, don't you? I lived in Belfast for many years and was never as scared as am now living in London. Though IRA always gave warnings, I suppose.
I think all would prob be fine on Tuesday but will the worry ruin your time there anyway?

TBH I've never liked the tube.. But the thought of having been in the tube when the bomb went of is bad enough, but to think of mine or anyone elses children down there makes me feel sick. Yes if I'm honest really I don't want to go, I was thinking of driving or getting a cab from charing cross, so the journey is as quick as possible.

it make sme nervous, since having ds always has slightly (the underground parts of the underground). for myself generally adopt a devil-may-care attitude and reassure myself with statistics in my favour or principles of fate but with ds am just so protective, obviously i cannot bear the idea of him suffering in any way. will have to face tube again as its the only viable way for me to visit my family but am scared for his sake life does go on, its fairly impossible to live in london and not use public transport, unless you are wealthy enough to afford taxis everywhere. there are obviously risks in anything, such as crossing the road but i think thursdays events just brought that particular danger home to me andoment the images are still very vivid

I live in central London, and take several tubes/buses every day. I've taken 4 or 5 buses since Thursday, and while nervous, was OK.

I have an appointment Monday afternoon that I usually travel to by tube. Not sure I'm comfortable, but will wait and see how I feel tomorrow. Awful part is that my route takes me through King's Cross - though Victoria line, not affected Picadilly.

TBH, I'm glad that we're off on holiday on Tuesday so things will have a chance to calm down/get back to normal. I feel jittery about public transport.

im taking dd on the tube/train tomorrow to go see the wiggles. a little nervous too but i should hopefully have to get on the tube twice

I was on the tube again Friday morning. Everyone seemed very calm, even going through Liverpool Street. There's no alternative, really, is there? It may be one of those things that is best done sooner rather than later - get back into the saddle, as it were.

I do appreciate how extra difficult it must be to take your children on, though
