I think we have a mouse in the wall cavity as I can hear scratching and the cat won't leave it alone!!!

Can they get into the house?
How can we get rid of them?

Please help!!

But where would they get out?
I can't see any obvious holes in the wall!

I had just that problem, I think they dug in somehow from outside. I managed to find the suspected route in from outside and left poison there (from garden centre). I've heard nothing for over 6 weeks now so am assuming it has done the trick

Where they appeared to get in was under the foundations of the house near some shingle...which appeared to have been dug away

We have a small gap by the drain - maybe it got in there.
Can hear it scratching...

hate to say it but they can get in through the absoule smallest of spaces - seeing is believing - like to follow warm pipes - we had one about a year ago, had to use a trap - atleast you have visual evidence that it has gone!
