dh has just been chopping some broccoli for a soup and found some (live) little insects in it!!!

Don't worry, of course we're not eating it now! The broccoli was in our fridge, wrapped up in plastic. Dh says it was wrapped up completely. Do we need to chuck out the other veg in our fridge which aren't packed/wrapped up? (e.g. under where the broccoli was we've got a tray of tomatoes). Am 37 weeks pg so don't want to catch any nasties! Over to you - what would you do?

I would just wash it ike any other veg. I should imagine mot veg we eat has had insects on it at some point.

Cheers. - But then, on the other hand... we have open trays of veg everywhere in the fridge, if any of the little blighters have escaped and laid eggs in there... [puke]
Anyway, I've given the fridge a good wipe-out - it needed one anyway
