imo he's just a well paid yob and I think he should be sacked!

No doubt he will be back on the pitch before you can say 'foul'!

Sack him - thug.

I suppose it'd still be considered illegal to shoot him????????

is it? bugger!

just read that Graeme Souness has said they would be disciplined internally by the club but not sacked

who else in any line of work would still have their jobs after assaulting a colleague?

I suppose they'll get fined a few pence out of the immoral amount of money they earn - some punishment!

He's been fined 6 weeks wages - c £200K.

Dyer is considered the innocent party even though he got in a couple of thumps back (have to say "good!" though }) so will not be fined.

£200,000 humph!

If fans behaved like they did on the pitch they would be banned!

If teh club sack him they lose out on the transfer fee - although have to say if soemone did not pass teh ball to me on 3 occasions I would be miffed especially as no goals came. ( Not condoning what he did it was wrong but I think NUFC have big dressing problems to sort out )

is he not one of many footballers who have already been in court charged with some kind of assault? I seem to recall he was charged with racially attacking someone at a nightclub a few years ago.But of course he is good at football so it's ok to be a thug. If any of us did the same as he does in our line of work we would be sacked and probably sent to prison.

Exactly, cod! If a fan thumped a player they would!

I caught a bit of a 5 Live discussion in the car this afternoon (as you do) and they were saying that words will have been exchanged between them before the fisticuffs - it wasn't just about the missing passes (they had lost by that point anyway). Agree about the dressing room, gm, but then Newcastle's board are nothing to write home about either (not a lot better than Peter sodding Ridsdale when he had Bowyer at Leeds).

Sack him. How hard is it fgs? (ooops, sound a bit like a tory election poster there) In any other job it would be gross misconduct and he'd be out on his ear. Little scrote.

He was cleared, donnie.

he ran amok in Mcdonalds too - narrowly escaped prison - was fined £4.5k - pathetic!

yes, I recall he was cleared but there is obviously a pattern of behaviour isn't there? I wouldn't want to be alone in a room with him in any circumstances.

"I HAVE NEVER MET LEE Bowyer but everyone I have spoken to about him says that he is a toerag."

From the Times . A perfect summing-up I feel.

I know some who would love to be in a room with him, but he wouldn't enjoy the reason why

"The Life and Crimes of Lee Bowyer"

They did one about Dyer too but his mostly drink driving rather than general obnoxious possibly racist thuggishness.

Bowyer is a toerag.

cannot believe he still has respect from anyone and I wouldn't call him professional either!
