toddler groups in Bromley Kent, or Hayes?

Anyone know any good toddler groups in Bromley Kent or Hayes, my toddler and I will be spending a week with my parents and my mother seems to think you have to sign up for them years in advance - can this be true! Is there also any soft-play or just lovely places for DS to rampage! Thanks
