Incidentally, from what I read last night, this particular virus is a bit like nits () in that it can reside in several files - if you miss one, it can then reinfect the entire PC again. Strongly recommend you do a virus sweep every day for a few days just to double check you got everything.

I'll post this to the other virus threads too.

They start at around £400 at the moment, depending on what spec you're after. You can bet your life though that once you've added a decent amount of memory in etc that it'll be nearer the £800-1000 mark! (at least whenever I spec them it always ends up around that figure!!)

my virus check came up clear. but i am getting popups saying something about activex being disabled.

really sorry to have killed yr pc
