I am well peed off at the mo - DH has taken DS out so that I could treat this new client; she was due here at 10:30 this morning and still hasn't shown up - I have tried to phone her twice but get the answerphone. I wouldn't mind so much but she texted me last night to be reminded of the appt time and address! I did reply, so where the hell is she and why hasn't she shown up or phoned? GRRRRRR!!!
ah, hamster, after 7 years of practice I have grown out of thinking the best of people! Of course, if I now find out that she has had a hideous accident I will be suitably shamed. But somehow I doubt it.
You could make it so that payment is at time of booking (send it in the post if necessary) and then have a "no notice within 24hours will result in loss of payment to the client" notice on your door/paperwork.
That's how my mum's boss works it - it works well. She's a bit more relaxed with her regulars but new appts are strictly observed.
