I met a stranger!

I was on my usual walk along the country lane, imagine the scene, fields to the left about 1 metre high, the fields on the right softly undulating down to the road, the mist was gently lifting to reveal furrows of old, the dew soddened grass was being feasted on by cow and horse alike, I felt as though I was not alone, but there was no one in sight, I meandered down our usual lane, towards the farms and dogs, when something caught my eye I turned and there he was, his outline I could just see across the fields, he sauntered over to the fence he looked so powerful and strong, he stopped and looked across at me, our eyes met, they were so brown and intocicating I felt my heart thump hard, then a car full throttled it and scared us both to death, I turn to see and then looked back he was on the run this red haired stranger, my heart had won....this morning I walked again the same route hoping to met him again, today was slightly colder, it looked like it might rain, as I approach the junction my heart began to pound, my stomach churned and my head to spin, it was there upon the ground, that smudge of red the tell tale pool of claret, I would not see my red haired stranger today...

We have a family that live in the wood next to our garden, we were watching one of them sunbathing asleep under a tree last weekend.

I don't know anything about writing and writers but do you ever see those womens magazines that have story competitions? They all seem to do it now and again and I remember one or two even went on to then have books published who were in one of the thinner magazines can't remember the names but it was something like woman/womans weekly.

Thanks late, but I don't read magazines, I don't seem to have the time, I get all my gossip from here this forum should be published every week, the world doesn't know what it is missing when not tuned into Munsnet..tee hee I think I will just file my writtings away and when I'm dead and gone the family can search the attic for lost treasure, find my work and publish it ...well someone will have to suffer reading it...

mothernature if I see any (possibly in months to come) I must remember to let you know via MN. Then it's up to you, of course. I just think it was soooo lovely to read.
