borrowed a maxi cosy seat of my sister (infant carrier, zebra design) and am wondering if its actually suitable for my car. i know britax do a fit finder, do maxi cosy, or should i get it checked somewhere and if so where?

i think your council should have a road safety officer who will come & check things out for you.

Think they fit most, really depends on the length of belt to hold it securely but not over tightly. You could contact their UK distributor for advice :-

There is a Maxi Cosi website (\link{http://www.maxi-cosi.nl/here} but it is a translation of the Dutch parent company site and doesn't seem to include a fit finder ( remember specs are different on European cars). It is the most popular one over here though (baby seats in Switzerland are referred to as Maxi Cosi's in the same way as in UK it was always Rockatot's) so it shouldn't be a problem but try the Dorel customer service number or email them (see earlier post) to confirm.

just checked it and watched the video for fitting, but doesnt say anywhere if its suitable for my car. ah well, will have to take it to the next 'safety day' at asda or something.
