DH works for an Internet marketing company, he says...(he finds web-hosting sites all the time)...

fido.net, "really good... really good support"
says he's absolutely not affilitated with them!
There's another one he likes, but he can't remember the name right now.

DH isn't keen on ... webfusion.co.uk (high bandwidth charges)

DH says US-based hosting is A LOT (as in stupidly) cheaper.

Do you need Linux or Windows hosting?

for Linux - www.westhost.com

for Windows - Future Shock

If you need hosting that is physically located in the UK (important only if you have a .com rather than a .co.uk and target mainly UK customers) - www.mistral.co.uk

And believe me, we've tried a few! Admittedly haven't tried zen though.

BTW should declare an interest - the future shock site is ours (started because we got fed up with trying to find reliable hosting)

I'd recommend Xcalibre www.xcalibre.co.uk

25 quid a year plus VAT

VERY reliable I've found and they ALWAYS pick UP the phone if you need stupid-person support (like me) - it's like ringing my mum!!

I wouldn't recommend 123-reg.com because they are dreadful.

DH says 123-reg is the same as Host-Europe is the same as web-fusion (the one he doesn't like...)

xcaliber are one of the companies that I would definitely not recommend. Have had problems with them.

have had problems with 123-reg too. Now I know why!
