Can I change Top Shop clothes without receipt?

I bought a pair of jeans for DP to give me for Christmas but when I got them home I realised that I do not have the figure of a 16 year old as I must have thought in the shop but am actualy a rather wobbly mother of 2 who cannot get away with wearing hipster jeans. I tried to sit down with them on and half my bum fell out the top .

They have still got all the labels on with price and everything but I haven't got the receipt. Do you think I can still change them or evern better get my money back?

Thats what I thought but I am desperate for a new pair of jeans. Hope they have more sensible ones!

If you bought them in the last 2 weeks then chances are you could swap them, as most clothes have a security removal thing on them and if you've got them then you must have bought them as you can't remove that on your own...and actuallt have heard somewhere that you don't need a receipt under "The Sale Of Goods Act" if they are in perfect condition...might be wrong but has worked for me in the past.
