At what age did your dc start using deoderant?

DS (10 next month) keeps asking me if he can start using deoderant. He doesn't smell whiffy but says his armpits feel wet and itchy sometimes. I am not keen on him spraying chemicals on to himself, but if he needs it..... Am a bit confused.

My dd started at about 10. She is 11 now and doesn't use it every day but she does a lot of sport so needs it on those day. Especially the if she's wearing a lycra leotard - it can be VERY whiffy!

She doesn't use a spray, she has an unscented dry stick and I've taught her to use the bare minimum. Mind you, she is staring to show an unhealthy interest in hideous smelling Impulse sprays!

Agree, about 10. With both mine, i noticed their school shirts were a bit wiffy, so suggested it.

I found a dry stick was best - my dd doesn't have the time or the patience to wait for a roll on to dry properly. And she was tempted to keep rolling and use loads, but with a stick it's easier to control.
