Help me find a cheap holiday for my inlaws - nowhere hot

They live in SPain but come over here in the summer where they have a holiday caravan as its too hot in Spain for them....until their caravan got washed away a couple of weeks ago in the floods. Since then they've been staying with FIL's sister but i think they've outstayed their welcome as they are very very annoying and of course when you're used to being on your own a houseful becomes too much. So, terrified as i am that they will end up on our doorstop, i am looking for a nice holiday for them - somewhere not hot but warm would be good, cheap and in the next week or so. They fly back to Spain at the end of August but fear dh's aunt will kill by then - they seem oblivious to the trouble they cause

The Alps are lovely at this time of year - would that be far enough away?
Not too expensive either.
