Having a 'do' on Sunday - really hoping for everyone outside, so obviously checking weather. Here are the forecasts for my area for Sunday

The Weather Channel/Yahoo - mostly sunny, 24
BBC weather - black cloud, one drop of rain, 20
Met office - black cloud, 2 drops of rain, 27

So it could be 20, 24 or 27 degrees and it's either going to be clear blue skies or lashing it down. Which the F is it?!

Arrrgggghhhhhh!

Dh has been reminding me that BBC did not forecast a hurricane back in the 80s!

BBC tells us its going to rain in the Lakes this weekend, ukweather and accuweather say its not. Is annoying isn't it

We had a church picnic yesterday, the Beeb forecast rain. It tried to rain twice, then it rained quite heavily for about 20 minutes after that it was glorious.

Enjoy.

I'm sure it was forecast for rain in THe Lakes yesterday and it was glorious by the afternoon.

Hmm, I'm going with 'the BBC don't have a clue' line.

GMTV said rain returning on Sunday, but to the north and west of the country only. That would be the lakes then I guess.

Try Metcheck site, They are normally v. good.
eg about 5 weeks ago, i checked their site, ran out just before 3pm to bring the washing in. My neighbour was out, and said do you think it will rain? I said the forecast i just checked said 3pm, rain, and a storm.
3 pm the heavens opened, the rain was bouncing off the ground, thunder lighning, et all. as usual we had our school run to do as well.

Good luck, hope you have a nice day.

I am a bit obsessed by this but generally the BBC follows the Met Office predictions

Predictions earlier this week were for sun on Sunday but the rainy front is moving in faster than they thought, so I think you need to plan for rain I'm afraid

I use accuweather, I find them to be much more on the money than the BBC ever is.

Oh, that would be good because accuweather says partly cloudy and 25.

I don't mind if it showers, I don't mind if it's not hugely sunny or hot - I just don't want an afternoon of persistent rain which means nobody can go outside.

I must admit - i don't find BBC that reliable normally - mp I think you are right that BBC follows met office. It's changing all the time though - does anyone really have a clue?

Weather channel and accuweather were updated an hour ago and still say nice on Sunday, rain on Mon.

Let's hope the rain is moving slower!!

We are in S Manchester/Chesire - not Lakes.
