Oooh my baby's on there

Emrys - Em-ris.

puppydavies Wed 01-Aug-07 08:45:52

osian = OSHann (to rhyme w/posh)
guto = the tricky bit is the 'o' at the end is very short, like in stop, same for any names ending in o
hywel = HUwel (as in start of hump)
meirion = MAYrion

caveat - am not native speaker and i learned my welsh up north so may have differences of opinion w/s walians

are you doing engineering or something nappyaddict, those are all (?) boys names.

puppydavies Wed 01-Aug-07 08:46:57

no lol. i can just work out most of the welsh girl names. they seem to be easier for some reason.

can't believe how many really welsh names on your course. Have grown up and lived in wales most of my life and have never heard so many welsh names in one place lol.

heh i thought that too, my second guess was it must be an agricultural college.

nappyaddict Thu 02-Aug-07 11:39:17

oh no there are over 300 people on my course so in comparison not that many welsh names lol.
