oooh oooh ooh

My brother plays drums in a band and if I say so myself they are very good

They play lots of 80s stuff, some modern things too, and things like The Committments etc. They have a female vocalist who is fantastic, plus my brother sings occasionally too. I think they have a sax player too (I know one band member left recently and I can't remember what he played). They have been together over 10 years and are moderately successful (though it is just a hobby for them).

Db has just gone on holiday for a week but I can get him to get in touch with you next Monday if you would be interested.

Try your local music shop - bands sometimes advertise on noticeboards. x

OK no problem yorkshirepud - doubt they would be available at such short notice anyway, they get quite booked up

All the best finding someone!

wrong stuff as in not what you are looking for. You want what we call a dad rock band but in band circles its prob called classic rock.

Filchymindedvixen · 23/07/2007 18:25

Yorkiepud - ask at Rock Steady music (top of Westmoreland St) - they'll point y ou in the right direction.
Dr Thirsty quite good IIRC> And if theyr're still going.

hope u find what you are after. spoke to DP and he said they would want playing a LOT for a yorkshire gig as it would mean a stop over most likely. So, its a good job they don't play what you are after!!!

mumofSlytherinsmonsters · 23/07/2007 21:13

ooooh also, if you have got some names of bands (odd that you found them in yell tbh) google them or search for them on myspace so you can hear them first!

Filchymindedvixen · 23/07/2007 21:41
