So I've got 2 weddings coming up, one end of May and one end of June.
None of the guests are going to be at the same wedding so I thought, I'll buy something and wear it for both.

I ordered something online and happy with it - it's a red jumpsuit that's just above ankle length.

I showed my partners mum this afternoon and she said 'Oh.. red for a wedding?'
And my response was 'oh.. do you not wear red for weddings?'
She then said 'urm, well I don't know. But it's you I suppose'

I don't think she was been mean or nasty but I kind of like to wear 'different' things and don't like to look the same as other people but now she's got me really paranoid about wearing it to the wedding..
one of them is her daughters, so my partners sister.. but now I'm stuck because I don't think she likes it.

It's nothing revealing, i think it's nice but I'm just, paranoid now that it's not 'weddingy' enough.

I've never been to a full day wedding and I don't really do dresses so wanted something I feel comfortable to be in all day.

What do I do?! ConfusedConfusedConfused

What colour shoes and bag are you wearing?

Red just really really stands out in photos, so like in group photos it'll detract from the main focus being the bride and groom. My photographers were explaining to us when they make pictures black and white and one example was if there's a guest wearing red.

Lanie223 I'm not sure yet.. my mums away this week, so I need to wait for her to get back for her opinion.
Possibly black sandal type shoes/heels.
I hate getting dressed up for things like this 😩😩

Spam88 ahhh I see! I don't think his mum is thinking on that wave length.. she's abit bland when it comes to fashion and things like that.
But I'll bear that in mind 👌🏼

It's a very bold colour but may be okay with beige bag and shoes. I wore a floor length quite unique colour to a wedding last December but checked with the bride first incase it was too similar to bridesmaid colours xx

Lanie223 it is quite bright/bold I suppose for a wedding. But everyone always goes for light colours like, beige, pale pink and all that boring stuff 😂🙈

This is another one I've ordered that I like as well.. I think this one is more 'weddingy'

I'm sure I also read once that wearing red means you're after the groom, maybe that's what she's thinking 😂

I think nude would look nicer than black, especially for a summer wedding :)

Sorry, crossposted with you. I meant nude shoes with the red jumpsuit.

Spam88 yeah I get you.

It only got delivered on Friday so when my mums back I can give her a catwalk and see what she thinks and always send it back and get a refund before the 14 days or whatever it is

I think it's absolutely fine, I love the second dress too - you have great taste.

Mouseville65 thank you! 😘
I just thought with the red one, I can always dress it up or down as well.
