Why is it that everyone I know that has moved to / lives in London suddenly kisses on both cheeks??

Not necessarily.

Occasionally I go for a three kiss aproach, You need to know your audience.

We train newbies that it's TWO kisses. Wink Actually, I will admit that if someone only kisses one cheek, I usually say "two!" and tap my unkissed cheek with my finger as a not so subtle hint.

I’m in London but also have lots of family and friends from other countries.
Two kisses are the norm in most other parts of the world.
I’m guessing that London has a higher percentage of people from other countries settling here than where you’re from?

In Switzerland it’s 3 kisses!

DSis and I used to love bringing our Brit boyfriends to family events and watching them cope with the etiquette of uncle greeting!

Wow three kisses! That must take a while to go around everyone when you walk into a restaurant and greet a group! Smile I guess I find it funny that if you grow up with one, then move to London and do two, that you still do two when you come home to visit even though you know it's not the norm!!
