I take 10p off my kids pocket money.

ds3 has lost 80p today.

The boys have 10 mins to admit to who didn't lift the lid on the toilet seat and therefore weeded on the seat just now or I will dock all their pocket money this week.

Am being strict strict strict

Excellent idea! Smile

Do your toilet seat hinges go rusty after about 2 weeks, beety?

I bought a really expensive seat last time and it's still happened. I'm tempted to do without one completely or else make the boys buy me a new one. Whaddya you think?

what an excellent idea-i could end up avoiding giving my eldest 2 any allowance at this rate, another gripe, is, the selfish so and so's never replace the bog roll..grr

Ah well we only have 2, and one is in the bathroom, so if someone's in the bath they would have to use a bucket or pee in the sink (the other is in my en suite and they're not getting exclusive use of that!)

then start docking money

All three big dss' have lousy aim and I'm for ever mopping up. Apparently the trick is to put something in the bowl for them to aim at - a ping pong ball has been suggested but I think ds3 would just nick it.

We fine ds (12) too. We don't expect much from him, so we hit his pocket money for 7.5p for each misdemeanour - well since we started it 4 mths ago, we have not had to dock him in the last 8 weeks at all! Infact he has earned more by unloading dishwasher and other unexpectedly helpful chores!

I will dock pocket money if it is on the floor as well!!! Maybe e leave some wipes in there so they can clean it up

DS1 doesn't get any money so I can't dock it (and anyway he tends to wee in his sleep so can't be held responsible....should have trained them to go sitting down, too late now!)

we make ss clean it up if he makes a mess, soon stopped him, I did threaten him with him having to do all his wee's sitting down tho, and that's not good in his eyes, so he soon stopped Grin
