I have been offered an Iphone 4s for £400. Is this a good deal. The phone is in pristine condition and is 9 months old. The seller wants to buy thenew iphone 5 when it comes out, and that is why he wants to sell his current.
Not sure how much i should pay for a second hand one, so any advice wold be really appreciated.

I think £400 is a good price, they're £650 new and most on eBay are more than £400

I wouldn't. A 16GB iPhone 4S can be had for £420 brand-new on Amazon. £400 for a second-hand one is a rip off.

And don't forget that the value will drop like a stone once the 5 comes out and (like him) everyone wants to offload their old toy in favour of the New Shiny.

I also would not. You can get a new one for not much more, and if you're going to spend £400 on a phone then why not spend another £70 getting it new and in warranty etc.

I dont think the price will drop when the iphone 5 comes out though - the iphone5 will start out at about £650 and the 4s will remain about £470, thats just my guess though!

Try and get the 4s for £350 - thats a decent deal if the phone is in good nick. You know you will still have to get a PayAsYouGo or monthly contract after dont you?

Hi thanks for the advice. I will suggest that I pay him £350.
