My little one has been offered a place at a school nursery starting after Christmas. She already attends a private nursery 1 day a week so i can study (OU degree)

If she went to school nursery, does she have to go for the full 5 sessions/days, or can she go for 4 sessions and stick with the private nursery which she loves on that 1 day?

Why not have the 2 sessions for the 1 day at day nursery, one in morning and one in afternoon.

Then you can have the remainding 3 sessions at the other nursery.

Is there a reason you prefer the split sesssions, as day nurseries are just the same as state nurseries.

i didnt realise they would do that tbh - that would make it a lot simpler! So, instead of going for 5 mornings a week, she could go for 2.5 days or thereabouts?

If they stay a full day, do they have lunch there?

A school nursery only offers 5 mornings or 5 afternoons AFAIK

But yes, there's no reason why you have to send her every day. You could still send her to the day nursery one day a week. Your free allocation would be taken up by the school nursery though even if you didn't use all the sessions
