Hi,
I have a 3.5 year old and 17 month old. Recently relocated to UK and wanting to find a good nursery for the little ones. Please advise on nurseries in the area and what prices are charged for half days.
Many thanks !

Hi,
My 3.5 year old currently goes to Hollymount - a free nursery as it's part of the primary school, It seems very good.
She went to Teddies aged 1-2years and really enjoyed it, but I hear they're now having problems with high staff turnover.
Friends give good reports of Dees Day nursery but when I went to look round I was told they don't do half days.
There is an excellent montessori on Spencer hill in Wimbledon, just for mornings, my daughter went aged 2-3 and loved it, I only moved her to Hollymount because it's free!
Also there's a very popular childminder who employs a number of staff and does a playgroup too - Remi on Tolverne Road, merton childcare info service has her details.
Can't remember costs exactly - about 25 for a morning for Teddies, 16 for Remi, 10 for montessori. Hope that is some help. Best wishes.

I use Eveline day nursery in Raynes Park. I would recommend it: freshly made food every day (cook on site), low turn over of staff, most importantly lovely staff, low turn over of staff, very goos manager and deputy manager, modern purpose built building with good outisde facilities. Their prices go up from 1st sep but are currently £38 for half day and £54 for whole day (no idea why it's not just half the price!). That price is less for over 3's but not sure how much.

I have also heard Teddies in Raynes Park is OK. I wouldn't recommend Dees Day Nursery (just a personal opinion but someone using it may have a different prospective!. There is also good value nursery called carousel in Motspur Park which is for over 2's. I belive its about £18 for half day and £35 for a whole day but you would need to check. I have seen it and it looks OK but my DD is a bit young at the moment.

Also heard good stuff about Building Blocks in Wimbledon.
