My DS is 4 and at nursery, it's not a private day nursery and the funding is quite limited so they rely alot on voluntary contributions from parents.

DS came home with a letter before half term stating the children are doing sponsored activities on X date and could a sponsor sheet be filled out by each child.

How much would you say is 'normal' for each person to sponsor the child for?

For context, the activity which the children are being sponsored for has not actually been specified.

I know many people will say 'whatever you can afford' but I'm asking what you personally would sponsor your own child, nephew, grandson, friends child.
