Nurseries in Stratford, East London

Hi! Can anyone recommend any nurseries in Stratford? As close to the big roundabout as possible. I've been looking around and I haven't seen any with a reasonable ofsted. All satisfactory or worse.

DS is only just two but not fully walking yet (suspected CP but we aren't testing him yet) so we need somewhere nurturing. He's been with a childminder which has been ok apart from being stung by her going on holiday at short notice and having to find alternative childcare with 2 weeks notice Angry AND having to pay her while she was away. (New York for two whole weeks!! ShockHmm but that's another thread...)

Can anyone help? I have looked round two, the Alphabet House Montessori on Windmill Lane and the Rebecca Cheetham nursery which I preferred, although it's ofsted is terrible.

Hope someone has some insight Thanks

Hi, Sorry you havent has a reply. My son does not go to a nursery in Stratford but the nursery my son goes to in Wanstead has one in Stratford called Little Bears and he loves the nursery.

They are organised, clean and the girls are lovely. Try checking them out. Good luck with your search.

Hi there. I'm currently looking for a nurseries in Stratford/Bow area too.
I've short listed the Smarty Pants on Abbey Lane, and the Little Bear in the East Village now.
Have you had any luck finding a good one at the end?

Hi there,
This reply may be too late for you, but my child has been at Alphabet House Nursery on Windmill Lane since the age of 6months. He's now 2.5 and loves it. The staff are caring and friendly and my son is happy and well settled. As with all things there are things that could improve the place, but my sons happiness comes first. It's a Montessori and there are a few French families who we've got to know over time, so it's sociable stmosphere too. It's convenient as it's so close to Stratford station too and I can drop off/pick up on the way to work and back.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck wherever you end up.
