wwyd? ds upset over something that happened at nursery

Out of the blue after his bath tonight 4yo DS told me that the ladies at nursery thought that he'd given one of his very good friends at nursery a paper cut (?) on purpose. He was really tearful, unsurprisingly, as he adores this little girl and is never in trouble for being violent, it's just not his nature. Obviously this is Sunday night so it didn't happen today and it will be difficult to ascertain when or who was involved. The reason I'm upset is that he went on to say that "the teachers said they would check the camera in the bathroom to see if was lying". Now I know this nursery has no cameras so can only conclude that someone said that to him to scare him into confessing.

I'm finding it hard to find a reasonable explanation for this. He's at nursery tomorrow, what should I say/do? Don't want to go in all guns blazing, just want an explanation and perhaps a guarantee that they'll stop their staff from behaving like idiots...

I think I would just confidently tell DS that Im going to speak to the nursery and hes not to worry

Aww I would just calmly and casually mention it at nursery tomorrow so they understand that he's a lil upset about it all.
My dn keeps getting bullied and her parents didn't do much ( they are too soft and think they are mithering the teachers) so I went in and had a word. Dn has been fine since with them girls.
She was however told to 'fuck off' by a boy in her class. Shes 4 in primary school. She was mortified when she came home she whispered it so quietly I hardly understood.
She said to me only naughty people say that word and the police man will come and get him now.

I would mention it to the room leader and say he was upset and that possibly it was over the tyop to scare him by lying about having cameras.
Let them know you are a little bit pissed off with them.
I work in nurseries and there are a lot of idiots working in them.
