hi, Kids Allowed opened it's new Childcare centre this month. We will be running a holiday club for school age kids but as we are new to the area, we would welcome a steer on when the main local schools close so we open it for the right dates...same question for the summer holidays too....thanks in advance for suggestions, help.

Most schools will have a website, term dates are generally part of the contents. LEA will have set term dates although each individual school may place inset days at the beginning and ends of terms.

Welcome to the minefield of running a children's activity in Macclesfield!!!!!!!!

Most Cheshire schools didn't go back after Easter until after May Day so they break up later than schools in say Staffordshire.

However you then have the added complication that several of the primary schools still have the two week whit half term, so they break up about a week later than the rest of the Cheshire schools. This caught me out one year and we ran an activity during what we thought was the second week of the holidays, but some schools hadn't broken up until half way through the week.

Add Kings School to the mix who break up at the beginning of July and there is no set answert to your question.
