LAURA ASHLEY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DISGUSTING

DO NOT PURCHASE WHITWORTH LEATHER CHAIR - The customer service we have received has been DISGUSTING. The chair is worth £1,895 which we purchased in the sale for £1,200 odd pounds. We had the Whitworth Leather Sofa delivered at the end of August and we kept it in the box as we were having decorators in our house. When we came to opening up the item the whole of the back was sheared in half. Knowing that Laura Ashley was a popular high street brand, we assumed their customer service of such an expensive item, would be of good service too, however, they have told us under no circumstances will they replace the item, despite saying on THEIR OWN TERMS AND CONDITIONS that an upholstery item has 5 YEARS GUARANTEE FOR THE FRAME!!!!!!! Under the Sales of Good Act 2012 it states that if a fault occurs with the product within the first 6 months of purchase the consumer is ENTITLED TO ASSUME IT WAS SOLD TO THEM FAULTY......... i would strongly NOT RECOMMEND THIS WHITWORTH LEATHER SOFA AS AN ITEM TO BUY, IT CLEARLY HAS DEFAULTS AND AS YOU CAN SEE LAURA ASHLEY SHUN THE LAW.......

Did you not check the chair when it was delivered?
